For 35 years, Texas-based RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) has provided free and low-cost legal and social services to low-income immigrants and refugees, including families and unaccompanied children nationwide. The organization pairs direct client service with impact litigation and advocacy focused on expanding permanent protections for immigrants, and changing the narrative around immigration in the US.
Our country’s current immigration policy denies entry to refugees fleeing violence, detains people in abusive detention centers, and separates children from their parents.
RAICES is on the front lines of this important fight. They are working to defend the rights of immigrants and refugees and advocating for liberty and justice for all on the national stage.
